In 2022, the market seems to be inverse to inflation. As inflation goes up, the market goes down. So with the Fed meeting announcing a 75 basis point rate hike, which might signal a recession, it’s a good thing for the market because it will bring inflation and, most likely, up the market.
Main question to ask yourself: Where do you think the market will be in a year from now?
As I was reading Stock market news live updates: Stocks struggle for direction after last week’s rebound on the Yahoo stock market news website, they mention some economic events that I hadn’t heard of before but they seem like catalyst events that can affect the direction of the market so I’ll keep a close eye on them.
