Learn how to save an SVG, with a path in Illustrator. Following the steps provided in the video will help you do it in no time!
In this video I will show you how to save an SVG, with a path in Illustrator.
I created my SVG item, or it’s just an icon, or an object. It’s actually a group. I created the circle in there and I created lines with the pen tool.
What I had done is I simply group them and try to export them as an SVG. But, that didn’t work because it didn’t have a path. There’s no path tag.
What you need to do to fix that, is you select your group item. You go to “Object, “Path” and “Outline Stroke”. I just did that. And then you can save it as an SVG. And when you open the code for it, now it will have a path.
That’s how you get a path from an SVG element or an SVG image icon from Illustrator.
